Applications For An Injury Award

Post by Urtica on Thu Feb 23, 2017 9:13 am

This is a message for any Metropolitan officers who have been injured on duty and who either have been through the ill health retirement process, and who have applied for an injury award, or who are currently in that position.

It is probable that applications for injury awards may have not been processed lawfully. Individuals may have either been refused an injury award unlawfully, or may have been granted an injury award at too low a level.

If any recently retired officers, or officers serving but about to be retired on ill health/injury, have any concerns about how their injury pension application was handled, then they can seek information and help by contacting the Injured on Duty Pensioners Association (IODPA) via its web site at www.iodpa.org or by emailing admin@iodpa.org
