Officers intimidated behind closed doors

The following extract is taken from Claire McDowall's book 'Duty of Care - Psychological Injury in Policing'. Claire is publishing it online to raise awareness of the psychological and emotional intimidation behind closed doors in constabularies across the UK because mental health in policing cannot be improved if antiquated, institutionalized behaviour is allowed to exist.
